Open letter

Dear Friends and Colleagues

in Arkhangelsk, Moskow, Novodvinsk, Saint Petersburg,

as well as to Colleagues from Dutch-Bashkortostan Project (Geelvinck Museum/NL),

although difficult outer circumstances may cause some slowness in academic procedures, from my side open access to current projects will be continued. I am sure and confident that peace, collegiality, and dialogue for further will be kept for guideline in our academic tradition in order to show better examples to the young generation and to our students.

Especially the students as the young generation should achieve our support and we all should listen to their fears about an uncertain future. Up to now, as scholars and academicians we became acquainted with the treasure of open possibilities for study, research and meetings. And it is the heritage and duty to all of us to keep these jewels of humanism and friendship to those who dedicate energy and study to the world of science and knowledge.

INFO TO CO-AUTHORS / Project "Palermo 2020"

Publication project: "Palermo 2020" (working title), ed. by G. Ziethen: still in progress, prolonged until 2024 because of current situation since spring 2020. Final text contributions will be send for proof-reading until spring end of 2022.

Editor's excursions for photo-sessions had to be postponed to 2023/24

All travels concerning the book project will depend from current situation; all planning still unscheduled.

Until a completed print-edition will be ready for realization, online open access publication is planned.
